You will notice many changes around the clinic in relation to new guidelines and to help keep everyone safe. Here is an overview of the changes. A detailed list of our protocols is available at the clinic and we are always happy to discuss any questions you may have:
We will be asking every client screening questions before their booking. Screening will be repeated on entering the building at your appointment time. Please let us know any and all symptoms of illness that you may have BEFORE attending the clinic. If your exposure to an individual with COVID changes or you have new symptoms, you must inform us immediately.
Anyone who has been in contact with a person with COVID, who has tested positive for COVID, or who has symptoms of COVID must inform the clinic prior to booking or prior to entering. We will need to speak with you further to determine our next steps.
We have implemented many changes in this area to help keep everyone safe. The main one being that we are working one on one, with no overlapping appointments, and practitioners have spaced out their schedules to maximize social distancing as much as possible.
We have altered our scheduling to maximize social distancing and ask that you remain outside the clinic until called and we will escort you in when we know the previous client has departed and all surfaces have been cleaned. At this time, we will not be using the waiting area to avoid contact with others and to minimize touch surfaces.
We also continue to offer virtual appointments for those who do not need in-person care or who prefer less contact.
THE CLINIC SPACE
We have redesigned the physical space to minimize contact between individuals where possible – chairs have been removed or placed at least 2 metres apart, a barrier has been installed at reception, and all non-essential items have been removed.
Increased wash stations and hand sanitizer have been placed throughout the clinic. Hands-free paper towel dispensers, and soap and hand sanitizer dispenser have been installed. Everyone must wash their hands on arrival and again after their appointment.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING
We will be leaving time between every client for cleaning all touch surfaces and equipment with Health Canada approved products. We have created detailed cleaning checklists and logs to ensure that nothing is missed.
When attending the clinic, we ask that all individuals wear a mask for their entire time within the premises. Please bring your own if you have one, if you do not then the clinic will provide a mask for you. If there is a medical reason why you may not be able to wear a mask please discuss it with your practitioner prior to booking or attending. Your practitioner will also be wearing a mask at all times. They may also wear goggles or a face shield.
You will notice a lot of signage around the clinic that we have been instructed to post to assist in educating with regards to COVID symptoms and safety measures.
