Physiotherapy

Your physiotherapy visit will start with an in-depth assessment that looks at joint, bone, muscle, tendon, ligament, and cartilage to determine the underlying causes of your pain. Your therapist will examine posture, flexibility and range of motion, strength and balance to identify contributing factors to your condition, as well as the areas to be improved upon to start on your path to recovery.

Your treatment will be individualized and may include therapies such as:

Manual therapy techniques, healing and pain control modalities such as acupuncture or electrical modalities (TENS), soft tissue release, taping for support, exercise prescription and education regarding your condition and management.

Therapeutic Home Exercise Programs

A large part of physiotherapy is helping you to understand the factors and habits that may be contributing to your pain, as well as the ways to help alleviate it at home and how to prevent it in the future.

We believe in working in partnership with you to assist in lifestyle changes and a home program that, when adhered to, will allow you to see the results you desire and will maintain your health in the future. We believe that the best therapy gives quick control of pain and restoration of movement in the present but also gives the tools to prevent future reoccurrence.
